Communication abilities
In-app notifications remain the durable source of truth. Push and email are delivery channels with their own status and suppression logs.

Always lands in the notification rail and activity surfaces.
Push
Delivered through registered iOS or Android devices when allowed.
Reserved for future summaries and account-level messages.
Topic defaults
These defaults map directly to the server communication preference contract.
Workout ready
A planned or imported workout is ready to review.
Planner changes
A plan change was applied, blocked, or needs review.
Integration issues
Garmin, calendar, or TrainingPeaks data needs attention.
Workspace access
Coach access or workspace membership changed.
Assistant updates
A draft, explanation, or requested assistant result is ready.

Quiet hours
Push delivery can be suppressed by local quiet hours while keeping the in-app notification unread. Timezone comes from the active device registration unless the user overrides it later.
